lost

well apparently my copy of bf3 has become "lost" in the series of tubes we call royal mail(also known as royal fail) and i have to wait for the 5th to do something about it so either it will arrive before that or we get a refund.

any way there is yet another "murder simulator " keeping me busy until that time. Bohemia interactive's arma 2. after playing the original very  famous and classic operation flash point cold war crisis i was hooked mostly by the editor. a beautiful tool simple to use hard to master after ten years im still yet to delve all the way into its infinitely expansive inner workings.

the latest incarnation of the editor
as a war Sim its unforgiving and realistic with ai that would at times put a British sniper to shame but you can almost forget about that when watching a firefight at night with tracers lighting up the world around you (like the Fourth of July as you yanks would put it ) or an Apache gunship providing cas(close air support)  the graphics are beautiful and at times even out do crysis .
now this is by all rights a full combined arms Sim vechiles and aircraft are fully simulated with there own complexity's and mechanics  and this makes multi player a wounderful experience using a laser designator to spot out targets for cas ect is great fun.
all this doesn't come for free you need need a hefty machine to run it I'm currently running on a custom I7 gaming rig but i only average about 47 fps maxed out (the game is cpu heavy and hasn't been optimized for 4x cpus) most modern PCs can run it but you may have to sacrifice graphics quality and size to run it efficiently. there are a few bugs too thought none are really game breaking they can spoil the usually brilliant immersion form time to time.

in conclussion this is one of my all time favorite video games and i cant wait to get my hands on bf3 thanks for reading
